Suswaad Sweets And Savouries was founded in 1988 by Sri Krishnamoorthy. After facing many business challenges and hurdles, Suswaad became his final dream come true , which he started with his sister-in-law, Mrs. Aswatha.

The name Suswaad means “good taste” in Sanskrit, and we always believe in delivering products that live up to this name. Suswaad had a very humble beginning . With just half a kilo of flour, Mrs. Aswatha  made Kai Murukku and sold it to neighbours. That was Suswaad’s first sale. The business grew only through word of mouth, as happy & satisfied customers kept coming back for the quality, taste, and homely feel of our shop. Right from the start, a lot of effort has gone into setting high standards for quality, taste, and authenticity in everything we make.

From the very first day, the ambience of our shop is maintained peaceful and divine, with the continuous chant of “Shree Rama Jaya Rama Jaya Jaya Rama” playing throughout the day. Many customers visit not just to buy sweets and snacks, but also to sit for a while, listen to the chanting, and enjoy the calm atmosphere. They often tell us how the shop gives them a sense of peace and positivity.

Our journey has been possible only because of the support and trust of our customers. As we enter our 37th year, we look back with pride at how we have grown from just half a kilo of production to a well-loved brand.
